Charity Softball Game Supports Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor

Softball event this Sunday benefits Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor

Waterford Kettering Women’s Freshman Softball team and the ABC Harley Davidson employees, along with Peter and Nancy Donaghue, McDonald’s owners/operators and Waterford residents, will be hosting the charity game at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at Waterford Kettering High School, 2800 Kettering Drive in Waterford Township.

Even though the two will play against each other in an upcoming charity softball game, Waterford Kettering freshman Chelsea Atherton and her mother, Diana, are on the same team when it comes to supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor.

As a school project, Chelsea and her friend Emily Klovski will lead the Kettering freshman softball team in a game against Diana and her coworkers at longtime Waterford business ABC Harley Davidson.

Chelsea and her family, as well as ABC Harley Davidson, have a history of supporting the Ronald McDonald House through yearly community events organized by Waterford McDonald’s owner/operator Peter Donaghue.

“The Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor is a home away from home to the families of children receiving medical attention at nearby Mott Children’s Hospital,” said Diana.

Donaghue and his wife Nancy are donating uniforms to each team and will provide onsite samples of Real Fruit Smoothies, McDonald’s newest beverage.
